The Hawkins Companies and its affiliates purchase, develop and manage office properties

in the Eastern Half of the United States.  Entities controlled by The Hawkins Companies

have developed over 1 million square feet of single-story, high-density office properties and

have successfully completed acquisitions of land, multi-family, office, business service,

industrial, retail, golf course and single-family residential properties.  The Hawkins

Companies' acquisition and development activities now total over $300 million.  The

Hawkins Companies' tenant roster includes numerous Fortune 500 companies, including: 

Nextel Communications, BellSouth, Schlumberger, Seimens, Ford Motor Credit and

Lucent Technologies.

PRINCIPAL

 

Scott D. Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer, formed The Hawkins Companies

in 1990 to continue and expand his activities in commercial real estate.

Mr. Hawkins is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and

The Harvard Business School and has been active in commercial real estate development and management in Atlanta and the Southeast since 1982.


SEED PARTNERS

 

In 1993, brothers David and Rhodes Perdue formed Seed Partners to purchase and

rehabilitate historic buildings.  Their adaptive use projects have resulted in the

rehabilitation of several unique properties, transforming functionally obsolete

manufacturing and warehouse structures into award winning loft apartments and

 non-traditional office space. 

 

Projects include:   The Hastings Seed Lofts, The Telephone Factory Lofts, and The

Giant Lofts, among others.  Seed Partners' projects have won recognition and

awards for Historic Preservation and Adaptive Use from The Atlanta Urban Design

Commission, The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, The Urban Land Institute,

and several local publications.

PRINCIPALS

David L. Perdue is a native of Atlanta and has been in commercial real estate there since 1986.  He has served the Boards of the Atlanta Preservation Center,

the Atlanta Chapter of Washington & Lee University Alumni, the A.G. Rhodes Homes, and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.

 

Rhodes Perdue is also a native Atlantan.  He is co-president of the Marietta

Street Artery Neighborhood Association, and is active with the Georgia and National Trusts for Historic Preservation.
